Naturally, Burgundy owes its fame to its great wines which are much better known than its departments of Cote-d'Or, Nievre, Saone-et-Loire & Yonne. The Burgundy vineyards, planted in Gallo-Roman times and improved by the Cistercian monks, have since medieval times produced the delicious wines renowned throughout the world: Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Haute-cotes, Côte de Chalon and Pouilly-Fume to name a few.
Yet this region also offers wide green spaces, mountain streams and lakes. It also has a surprising network of navigable waterways, which stretch over thousands of kilometers. A province which is full of churches, abbeys and castles you can discover the countryside on horseback or on one of its great canals.
If you have always wanted to grow your own grapes but are not too sure about how to turn it into wine, then you should contact Wineshare. You own part of a vineyard without all the hassle!
