You will find houses to rent surrounded by vineyards as well as many which are very close to main wine growing area and towns such as St Emilion and Beaune on this website. Just click on the above search facilities - main areas are Loire Valley, Poitou-Charente, Aquitaine, Languedoc Roussillon, Provence, Burgundy and Alsace.

If you are interested in wine then below you will also find a list of areas and departments to visit plus several Festivals. The Festivals are a good way to find out more about the Region's wine plus it is a great way to meet the 'locals'. There are 12 main areas of:

Mid August (1 week) – Regional Fair of Alsace Wines at Colmar
