Cycling is one of France's national sports so not surprising the country is well suited for cycling enthusiasts!
Most houses on this site have cycling as an activity and you can easily hire bicycles in France if you are not taking your own. However, just to make sure cycling is suitable near the house you are interested in you can use the 'Refine Search' facility to double check.
Remember if you are looking to train and taking expensive equipment with you it is also worth checking with the owner beforehand if there is a lockable shed. If you take a look at the Tour de France website you will soon find the difficult climbs!
There is, of course, a wide choice of terrain to suit all abilities so whether you are interested in mountain climbing, all terrain, road racing or just enjoying ambling along countryside lanes - you are bound to enjoy a holiday in France.
