This 17th century chateau, which has been fully renovated was rebuilt in the 18th century. The castle is situated at the foot of the Maas within 15kms from the Belgium border. The estate is over 6 hectares of valley in the middle of a 200 hecture ardenne wood. The only entrance road is along a tow path of 3kms which is private to guests. This cottage is ideal to relax and enjoy the fantastic scenery in the area. On the estate there is a tennis court, badminton, table tennis, fishing lake as well as boules. There are also lots of walks and mountain bike routes (it is also possible to rent mountain bikes). You can also canoe, horse ride and go caving as well as sight seeing. The nearest town or Vireux is 5kms which has restaurants, shops and a tourist board.There are several cottages on the estate as well as the main chateau for hire making this estate ideal for larger groups.
Accommodation consists of an entrance hallway with a wc. There is a large sitting room with sofa and chairs plus satellite TV and VCR. The separate dining room has a long reflectory table with seating for up to 16 and is ideal for parties. There is also a large fireplace and HiFi. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and dryer. On the first floor there are 2 twin bedrooms with bath, sink and wc; one twin with shower, sink and wc.; a double with bath, sink and wc; a twin and a separate bathroom with bath and sink plus a separate wc. On the second floor there is a bedroom with 5 single beds, bath, sink and wc and a further triple bedroom with 3 single beds, bath, sink and wc. There is also another wc. The chateau has a shared washing machine within the small complex. The house has central heating and outside there is a terrace, a private garden, garden furniture and BBQ. There is also plenty of parking and a shared tennis court.

High above Tournavaux La Retorse is one of 3 wooden chalets (30m2) in a typical Ardennes village situated on the border of the forest. The River Semoy is within 100m and there are lots of activities in the area: walks, mountain biking, canoeing on the river and wind surfing on the lake of Les Vielles Forges. Theses chalets are also close to Belgium and its tourist attractions (Charleville-Meziers and Bouilloon) are closeby. Restaurants and shops are 5kms distance in Montherme
Accommodation consists of a living room with single sofa bed and a kitchenette with microwave. There is a double bedroom and a twin room with a bathroom (shower and sink) and a wc. Heating is electric and there is a terrace, garden furniture and BBQ. Bedlinen and towels can be rented for 7 Euros p.p.These chalets are basic but reasonably priced with 2 bedrooms and ideal for outdoor activities.

On the next floor there is one large bedroom with 4 single beds. Outside there is a terrace with garden furniture and BBQ and lrge shared garden. There is also parking and a shared tennis court. There is a charge of 10 euros per day for gas and electricity and 35 euros for cleaning. Bed linen packs can be hired if required.
