This attractive mansion is situated in the busy and attractive town of Semur-en-Auxois in Burgundy. There is lots to see in the area for a great stay: the world famous Abbey of Fontenay near Montbard or discover the great scenery and vineyards. The area is renowned for its gastonomy and the house also has a 'cave de degustation' or meeting room (on request) making its suitable for company meetings and parties. The owner can also arrange for a wine course. Just outside the town is the large recreational lake of Lac de Pont and within 15kms the Canal de Bourgogne.
Accommodation consists of a hal, a sitting room with TV, VCR and HiFi, a separate dining room and a well equipped kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a downstairs wc. On the first floor there are 2 double rooms (one with sink) plus a twin room with sink and a library. There is a bathroom with whirlpool, sink and wc. On the second floor there are 2 double en-suite rooms with shower, sink and wc. In the basement there is a meeting room and a laundry room with dryer and washing machine. The house also has central heating making it suitable for all year lettings.
Outside there is a terrace and garden furniture but the garden which the house overlooks is not accessible.

This large detached house is located on a hectare or land on the border of the Morvan and the Bourgogne with a small lake (not suitable for swiming). The house is 9 miles from Saulieu, 17 miles from Autun and 20 mins drive to Lake Setton, where there is a wide range of nautical sports. Cycling, walking and horse riding are all possible and there is a golf course within 30kms. There is lots of sightseeing with wine cellars and historic castles - worth visiting: Beaune, Nolay, Chalon, Dijon or Chateau Chinon.
Accommodation consists of a large living room with wooden floors and a closed hearth. The well equipped and modern kitchen has an oven, microwave, dishwasher. There is also a dining table and chairs. The bathroom has a shower and 2 sinks as well as a separate wc. There is also a utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and 1 single rom. The house has central heating and by April 2005 another bathroom will be added. Outside there is a large balcony with views over the lake ideal for taking meals or an evening drink. There is also garden furniture and a well kept fenced garden.
