This lovely traditional cottage is situated in very rural Brittany approximately 30 miles south of the large city of Renne and 45 miles from the south coast of Brittany. Maison du Bois is the ideal place to relax and get away from it all.
Nestled in he pretty wooded area known as "La Chatelier" on the high bank of the river "Vilaine" amongst a small number of other well kept old traditional cottages.
Maison du Bois has been sympathetically modernised to provide very comfortable and cosy accommodation with all the modern amenities whilst retaining all of its original rural charm.

This large traditional Breton style farmhouse thought to be about 400 years old is situated in 3 acres of beautiful french countryside. The farmhouse has lots of old beams and character. Currently there are beds for 10 persons plus cots but will sleep an extra person confortably if necessary. A grass badminton/tennis ground and boules court are set in the south-facing playing field, which is bordered by a river.
There is a full equipped kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The living room has a traditional log burning fire when required as well as a TV, Video and DVD player with a limited variety of films. A separate dining room seats 10 and is situated near to the kitchen. The large family bedroom is downstairs and has a double and single bed plus a cot. There is a bathroom and wc downstairs. Upstairs there is a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. An extra bed and/or cot can be added if required. The other two upstairs bedrooms are twin but can be made into triples. There is also another bathroom. Outside there is a large pool (33' x 18') with decking and sun loungers. There is also a BBQ and a covered area for dining outside. All rooms have heating if required.
