La Forge is situated in the village of Treverien, approximately
30 miles South of St. Malo and 10 minutes from the medieval town of Dinan. This 18thC house which sleeps up to 10 has been converted from the old forge and retains many original features. The house rests on the banks of the Rance canal which runs from Dinard in the North to Rennes in the South. The canal is stocked with a variety of fish and permits can be obtained through the village shop, which also doubles as a bar (less than a minutes walk away). The shop supplies basic requirements including very good fresh bread every morning. St Malo, Rennes and a number of beaches are all within an hours drive or less.
There is a large kitchen/dining area with all the facilities to enjoy exploring the local food markets as well as a dishwasher and a large oak table for up to 10 people. There are french windows leading onto the patio area which overlooks the canal. The utility room has a washing machine and table tennis. The large living room is comfortably furnished with an original carved oak fireplace. There are further french windows opening to the front and rear of the house. The study which is curtained off from the stairwell has a king sized sofa bed. Upstairs there is a double bedroom which is en-suite. There are two twin bedrooms and a bedroom with full size bunk beds plus a family bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have balconies looking over the canal. Outside there is a large patio, garden and barbecue area. To the front of the house there is an enclosed courtyard with large wooden gates giving privacy and secure parking.

Abricot is one of three attractive stone cottages situated in a rural hamlet with views of the spectacular Mont St Michel and just 8 miles to the nearest beach. It is a wonderfully peaceful setting with over two acres of well-fenced grounds. Tranquil but not isolated with shops only one mile away. Superb beaches, forests, country walks, tourist attractions, fresh produce and restaurants all close by. This is a fabulous place to unwind. (Also see property reference 613 & 122)
This cottage sleeps 4/5 in two bedrooms and is one half of a former barn. Entrance is into the large tiled living room, with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. There is a well-equipped kitchen area with full gas cooker, microwave, double sink, fridge, worktops and storage facilities and is well supplied with crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. There is also TV with UK channels, DVD player and Radio/CD player. Wooden stairs lead to a double bedroom and twin bedroom with room for an extra bed, a bathroom with bath and shower over and WC with washbasin. Bedrooms have hanging rails, chests of drawers, bedside tables and lamps. Duvets and British sized pillows are provided and beds will be made before you arrive. Towels are also provided, though not beach towels. Heating is provided at no additional charge. There is shared use of a Laundry Room. Most baby/small child equipment can be provided on request. Meals are available, either delivered to you or served in the Farmhouse next door.
Each cottage at la Ferme de la Baie has its own small fenced garden with furniture and BBQs. Beyond this is a much larger grassed area with swings and slide. Adjacent is the field, which is currently home to our sheep and chickens. From time to time pigs occupy the far corner of the field and will be happy to eat your leftovers!
Out of high season reductions may be available if occupied by just one or two people.

This attractive renovated villa has views of the sea and is ideally situated just 100m from a fantastic beach. It is situated in a pleasant Breton town with restaurants, market and shops and is just 15kms from St Malo port amd 25kms from Dinand. There is also a heated private swimming pool (open from June till September) with an electric cover. A sailing school and children's club is on the beach and there is mooring for boats.

This cosy renovated farmhouse is set in a little valley up in the hills overlooking the bay of Le Mont St Michel and is a very good quality rental property. The quaint entrance brings you into the traditional large farmhouse kitchen/living room, which is elegantly decorated with pretty units and a white marble floor. It is well equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. The large kitchen table forms the hub of the room. Around the open fireplace there are easy chairs to relax and watch English TV with video and CD player. Kitchen stairs lead to the large master bedroom with a huge beamed ceiling and an emperor sized bed! There is also a sofa on which to recline in front of another TV. The front dormer window overlooks the main courtyard, while the rear dormer window overlooks open fields and woodland. The ensuite bathroom has a full-sized bath, basin and wc. This is primarily accommodation for a couple, but two beds or a cot can be supplied to create a family room (£25 extra). The house is centrally heated and electricity, gas and water are included in the price along with fresh linen and towels. Out of season logs are extra. Outside there is the use of the central courtyard garden, with garden furniture and barbecue.
The property was once a working farm and the courtyard is surrounded by a collection of interesting old barns and stables, a well and a bake house. All this is set in four acres of meadows, our own spring that feeds the little river that runs through the valley and 300 year old walnut trees that line the long drive to the house. This house is an ideal base for walkers as the nearby hills provide stunning views, or there is the local equestrian centre for horse riding and trekking to Le Mont St Michel.
La Baudouinais is 1 miles from the village of St Broladre, which has a good collection of shops and bars plus a post office. The coast road passes through the village and can take you on a scenic route to the spectacular wild Breton beaches on the far side of the bay which takes about 25 mins. Cancale, the little port in the bay is famous for being the seafood capital of France, shipping shellfish worldwide with a mass of restaurants. From Le Point du Grouin to St. Malo there are truly beautiful rugged beaches for you to discover and explore. The old walled city of St.Malo (25 mins drive) was once the capital of Brittany and here you will find a wide range of shops and many varied creperies and restaurants.Linen, towels and a welcome hamper are included in the price.
