This cottage is one of six converted with comfort and character from an 1850s building surrounded by over an acre of orchards and landscaped gardens. It is ideally situated being just a few minutes walk from the banks of the Seine, where the river widens out to embrace the sea. There is lots to see in the area - Honfleur within 10 minutes, Le Havre in 25 minutes, Rouen & Dieppe within an hour, the D-Day landing beaches and Bayeux tapestry within 2 hours. Calais is within 3 hours drive also making the cottages ideal for long and short breaks out of season. Both sides of each cottage benefits from natural light, by brown wood framed windows and doors, and dormers and rooflights upstairs. Brickwork arches have been retained where possible and paved paths lead to private parking areas nearby.
The cottages are floored throughout with Maple style plank flooring, sealed and polished. As well as being stylish and sophisticated, these floors are ideal for easy maintenance and holiday wear. The kitchens have electricity for cooking and lighting, a fridge, microwave oven and hob, fitted cupboards, sink and dishwasher or washing machine. The total ground floor area is approximately 4m x 8m which is divided approximately into a 4m x 3m kitchen/bar area and 5m x 4m for entrance and living/dining area with a range of comfortable settees and chairs. Upstairs the landing opens onto two bedrooms (a double and twin) and a separate fully tiled and fitted bathroom with bath and shower.
Outside each cottage has a tiled terrace and garden area leading onto an acre of landscape garden with garden seats, pergolas, rockeries and other features for all guests to enjoy, there is a large established orchard at the end of the property where it is safe for children to play, or for a stroll after dinner.
Included in the price is linen and towels, electricity, water, internet connections and cleaning. Home cooked meals can be provided if you do not want to cook but to stay in - just ask.

This former reinforced 15th century manor is situated on 30 hectares of land of which 10 hectares are woodland and is in the heart of the region's stud farms. A large attractive property with good facilities ideal for a large group or two families. There is an attractive grain shed which is now horse stables, lakes and a tennis court practice wall in the grounds. (Horses can be hired at 20 euros an hour - there are 15 horses and 3 ponies. ) Within 55kms you will find the beaches of Deauville, the D-Day beaches and Caen. This attractive estate is highly recommended for those who want a peaceful and holiday in the countryside. There is lots to see: 'circuit des Harras (stud farms), circuit des abbeys, the medieval castles of Chateau Gaillard and Harcourt and the renaissance architecture of Beaumesnil and Champ de Bataille. The nearest shows, market and restaurants are at Bernay which is 10kms away.
Accommodation consists of an entrance hall and a living room with fireplace and DVD. There is a separate dining room and a well equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, dryer and washing machine.
